Bio

Amy Roach is a screenwriter hailing from the quaint mountain town of Bayfield, Colorado, where the presence of a single stoplight served as an unconventional muse.

Her writing style is a tapestry of unlikely bonds, delving into the intricacies of relationships between individuals from disparate backgrounds. Whether exploring the complexities of captor and captive or the serendipitous connection between urbanite and small-towner, Amy weaves compelling narratives that explore themes of forgiveness, entrapment, and the enduring power of friendship.
At a very young age, Amy found herself captivated by the magic of cinema, and one film, in particular, changed her path forever. James Cameron's epic masterpiece, "Titanic" (1997), ignited a passion for storytelling that would shape her creative path for years to come.

The sweeping romance and tragic tale of Jack and Rose resonated with her on a profound level, inspiring her to become a storyteller.

In that role, Amy developed a keen understanding of the industry's inner workings. Her passion for discovering fresh voices led her to Slamdance, where she immersed herself in the world of screenplays, reading and judging for their competition.
Amy's breakthrough came with her LGBTQ romantic drama feature, "Rain Check on the Middle of Nowhere," earning recognition as a second rounder at the Austin Film Festival and securing a place in the top 25% on Coverfly.
